School Uniform
School Uniform & Dress Code
This school does have a school uniform, which we wish every pupil to wear, because it helps pupils take pride in their appearance and breeds a sense of community.
Children are expected to wear full school uniform every day unless they have PE. At St Columba’s we believe that it is important for children to come to school in the correct uniform as it promotes a sense of belonging in the community and demonstrates equality. We would like to work with our families to ensure that your children are in the correct uniform. If you are having any difficulty in being able to provide the correct uniform then please speak to our admin team who may be able to supply you with uniform vouchers or spare uniform we have in school.
In summer girls may wear a blue checked dress. In winter girls may wear warm black or grey tights.
We do ask parents to help their children take pride in their appearance. Long hair should be tied back. No jewellery is allowed except for a watch or small stud earrings.
School hoodies are only available from the school office and can be worn any time during school hours and in class. House colours are Red (St. Teresa), Blue (St. Vincent), Orange (St. Josephine) and Green (St. Damien). You may have your child’s first name or surname printed on the back but no nicknames.
All items of clothing should be clearly labelled with the child’s name. Sadly, school cannot accept any responsibility for items of clothing or personal property that go missing.
