L.I I can recognise how my family celebrates Easter.

Sam and Jax know we have just been celebrating Easter and they asked me to read the story of Easter from the Bible.

 

We talked about what my family do to celebrate Easter Sunday.  This year was a little bit different but we kept some of our Easter the same. We had a special breakfast, we enjoyed online church and we had a a special Easter dinner. We also had Easter Eggs.

Sam and Jax  asked me if I had a play station when I was little and when I said they no they were shocked! They wanted to know the games I played with.  We had a chat about how toys have changed even since I was a little person. In this photograph you can see my teddy bear (he is called Mark). I got  him  when I was 3 years old and he  has been on many adventures with me like camping in France, going to university to learn to be a teacher and living in different houses but now he sits on a chair. The book I got when I was 7 years old and still enjoy looking at it.

Good morning 1 Pine

How are you all?

Sam and Jax have been geographers today.

They looked outside and have drawn a map of the garden and labelled it. Could you do a map of your garden? or a room in your house?

Sam and Jax have been in the garden today and they have noticed some exciting changes. Flowers are appearing and there is blossom on the trees.

Wow you lot have been busy getting on with your work. I am smiling from the emails I have had in.

Jack has been doing some science experiments.

So Today Sam and Jax found this book and they want me to read it to them! but first you have a task to do. The title is “The dinosaur that pooped the past.” What do you think this book will be about? Can you make a prediction? you can write your prediction or just tell the big people at home what you think it might be about. (or you can draw a picture)

Gooooood afternoon 1 Pine,

Wow you have been so busy with your work. Today I had work from Finlay-Boi, Pola, Jack and Maria. I love seeing all your work.  I am so proud of you all.

Your rainbow pictures Maria and Finlay-Boi   looked fabulous. They will make people 🙂

 

Sam and Jax have been writing today but their grammar and spelling is not as good as yours Pine class.

I was looking out of window today and i wrote some sentences about it.

 

Outside my window I saw  two trees.  I saw yellow daffodils and I saw  some grass.  A bird was flying in the sky and a car was parked on the road . 

 

Can you write some sentences about what you can see outside your window? can you use the word and? what are you going to remember to use?

 

Now for your Easter challenge:

Please send in your video entries by Thursday 2nd April, as the Key Stage 1 teachers will be judging them before announcing the lucky winner on Friday 3rd April. The winner’s egg will be delivered on Friday 3rd April- good luck!!

Sam and Jax were inspired by Jack  and his brother to do their own rainbow.

  

Children around the country are making rainbows and putting them in their windows to encourage people to stay safe and to stay at home. Have you done one for your home?

I am very proud of Marc for sending me in his homework. He sent me  an email with the work. Did you get the same answers?

Sam and Jax have been doing some maths in the garden today. They passed the ball to one another and practiced their counting.

They were counting in 10s.

sometimes they counted forwards and sometimes they counted back. They also counted from different 10 numbers and stopped at different ones too.
