EYFS Teaching Assistant Fixed term/ temporary in the first instance Required as Soon as Possible

The Governors at St. Columba’s school are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our very      popular, expanding Nursery, on a fixed term contract, part-time until 31st August 2021.

The right candidate  will be working in our two year old setting and should have an excellent knowledge of EYFS with a commitment to providing the best possible outcomes for young children.

As a teaching Assistant working in EYFS it’s essential that you have:

  • A positive, caring, energetic, can-do attitude
  • Have a genuine enthusiasm for Early Years
  • The ability to monitor and record a child’s progress
  • An understanding of how to safeguard children
  • A genuine interest in aiding children’s development

Voluntary Helpers

Voluntary work is of great benefit to both the volunteers and the school.  It can be a fun and rewarding experience.  As a volunteer your role would be to help support and engage with the children so they have the best possible experience whilst at school.

All volunteers must be prepared to undertake a DBS (criminal records) check.  Also, if you have pupils in school, it is school’s policy not to place parents and volunteers in classes where their own child or relations are taught.
